PROF. DR. NURAY BOZKURT
Gynecology and Obstetrics Specialist

After completing her undergraduate education with top honors, Prof. Dr. Nuray BOZKURT successfully completed her medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and earned the title of Medical Doctor. She completed her specialty training at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine Hospital and became a Gynecology and Obstetrics Specialist. She also received post-specialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. She subsequently joined Gazi University Faculty of Medicine as a faculty member.

She was promoted to Associate Professor in 2007 and to Professor in 2013. She received training in infertility and IVF at Utrecht University, in gynecological anatomy at the University of Graz, and in robotic surgery at the IRCAD Robotic Surgery Center in Strasbourg, France. She served as Director of the Gazi University IVF Unit. She is an advanced-level laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and robotic surgeon, working particularly in infertility, IVF and laparoscopic surgery. She also has extensive experience in pregnancy, high-risk pregnancy, amniocentesis and all types of gynecological surgery. She has contributed to the training of numerous gynecologists and obstetricians.

Throughout her long career, Prof. Dr. Nuray Bozkurt has performed and taught countless IVF procedures, deliveries, high-risk deliveries and cesarean sections, uterine, cyst and prolapse surgery, urinary incontinence surgery, and laparoscopic, robotic and hysteroscopic operations. Continuing her academic position at Gazi University, Prof. Dr. Nuray Bozkurt also provides pregnancy follow-up at her private practice in Ankara, helping patients achieve their desire to have children and resolving gynecological problems.

Infertility Experience

The subject of her medical specialty thesis was “Comparison of Crinone and 17-Hydroxyprogesterone Caproate for Luteal Support Following Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection and Embryo Transfer.” She obtained her ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) Clinical Training Certificate while working at the Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, ART Training Center. Since 2004, she has been working at the Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology ART Center. In 2007, she worked as a visiting fellow in the Department of Infertility and Gynecological Surgery at Utrecht Medical Centre.

She also completed the Embryology Laboratory Director Course at the Gazi University Family Planning, Infertility and Reproductive Health Center and received a certificate. For another laboratory certification at the same center, she attended ICSI training and successfully passed the examinations. She served as Director of the Gazi University Faculty of Medicine ART (IVF) Center between 2013 and 2017. She works as a faculty member in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility established within the department. Her experience extends beyond IVF to gynecological endocrine disorders such as PCOS.

She served as a member of the Ankara Provincial Science Committee established under Article 5 of the ART Regulation for IVF applications. She has served, and continues to serve, on the ART Methods Science Committee established under the Regulation on Assisted Reproductive Treatment Methods and Assisted Reproductive Treatment Centers. She has contributed to the training of gynecologists and obstetricians pursuing IVF clinician certification at the Gazi University Faculty of Medicine ART Center. She serves on the board responsible for evaluating the examinations of trainees receiving ART training at ART Training Centers. She has domestic and international publications, presentations and oral papers, conference talks, seminars and session chairmanships, book chapters and translations on Reproductive Endocrinology, Infertility and Family Planning. She has supervised numerous specialty theses on infertility and IVF.

Experience in Endoscopic Surgery

She has advanced experience in laparoscopy in gynecological surgery. She has performed and provided training in numerous gynecological laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and robotic operations. She obtained her robotic surgery certificate at the IRCAD Robotic Surgery Training Center in Strasbourg, France. She has conducted studies on basic anatomy and laparoscopic anatomy at the University of Graz and the Yıldırım Beyazıt University Cadaver Center. She has organized theoretical and practical cadaver courses. She has provided training to gynecologists and obstetricians by organizing numerous laparoscopic surgery courses. She is a member of the Society of Gynecological Endoscopy and the Society of Reproductive Medicine Surgery. She has given numerous presentations as an invited speaker at national and international conferences on endoscopic surgery. She has national and international papers and publications.
